CONTACT LENSES

Care instructions for your contact lenses

With the cosmetic soft effect contact lenses you have chosen a quality product manufactured to international standards. You should read these instructions carefully and observe them at all times to ensure safe and comfortable usage of the lenses and that you have the best possible vision. Please keep this instruction leaflet so that you can refer to it if you have queries at a later date.

If you are using contact lenses for the first time, you should slowly increase the time you wear the lenses each day. Do not wear the lenses for more than 4 hours on the first day, and increase the wearing time by 2 hours every day. However, you should never wear the lenses for more than 10 hours at a time. Furthermore, the lenses are not suitable for persons less than 18 years old.

Application instructions

Only touch your lenses with clean, dry hands. When first opening the packaging, always ensure that the lens is intact and completely surrounded in fluid. Do not use if packaging is not intact or if the lens has dried out. The lenses have been designed for wearing for one year and should be disposed of after this period has elapsed.

It is imperative that the lenses are removed from the original packaging before first use and that they are placed in fresh contact lens solution for a least 4 hours before wearing for the first time. The contact lenses can be worn according to these instructions only after this has taken place. Please follow all further care instructions precisely.

Insertion

  1. Take one lens out of the packaging.
  2. Place the lens on your right-hand index finger and verify that the lens is the right way round.
  3. Hold up your upper eyelid using your left-hand index and middle finger while holding down the lower lid with your right-hand middle finger.
  4. You can now place the lens into your eye.
  5. Repeat steps 1 – 4 with the left lens.

Removal

Look up, and while holding your lower lid down gently pinch the bottom edge of the lens with one finger and thumb and then lift the lens out of your eye.

Cleaning and disinfection

Always follow the instructions on your contact lens solution bottles. If your lenses should dry out they are extremely sensitive and must therefore be handled with extreme care. In this case, place your lenses in fresh contact lens solution for at least 4 hours. Clean and disinfect them again, and then check them carefully for damage. If you are not sure whether the lenses are undamaged, consult your eyecare practitioner before wearing them again.

Note: We recommend that you visit an eyecare practitioner who can explain how to use the lenses properly, and who can practice with you.
